1, Xu hướng tăng
– Increase (v)
= climb, go up, grow, peak, rise, grow
– An increase (n)
= a climb, an upward trend, a peak, a rise, a growth
Example: There was a significant increase of $100,000 in GM car sales, from $5,000 to $105,000, between 1960 to 2010.
2, Xu hướng giảm
– Decrease (v)
= fall, reduce, decline, dip, go down
– A decrease (n)
= a fall, a reduction, a decline, a dip, N/A
Example: From 1990 to 2000, there was a drop of 15%.
3. Không đổi
(v) Level out – (n) a leveling out
(v) not change – (n) no change
(v) remain stable – (n) (a period of) stability
(v) remain steady
(v) stay constant
(v) maintain the same level
(v) stand steady
Example: The number of cars sold remained unchanged in 1999 at three million.
4, Thay đổi lên xuống
(v) fluctuate – (n) a fluctuation
(v) oscillate – (n) an oscillation
(v) be volatile – (n) a period of volatility
Example: After some fluctuations, sales in 2000 reached their peak of just over 15,000, a rise of 5,000 since the beginning of the year.
